ISCC is the only place of worship for citizens of Carroll County of the Islamic faith and it is the only place that offers Islamic Sunday School for the children in the Carroll County as well. ISCC is a Section 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization and is also registered with Maryland SDAT.

Background Information
ISCC has a humble beginning. In 2004, four local Muslims began offering Jummah prayers in one of their offices in Westminster, MD. As the call for prayers grew louder, more Muslims joined, and room in a nearby hotel was rented for this purpose. Later that same year, the small Muslim community was given a temporary place to pray in the basement of a church in Carroll County. During those early years, the community developed a constitution and in July 2007 ISCC was recognized by the IRS as a non-profit organization.
Through significant fundraising efforts and the blessings of Allah (swt) (Almighty God), ISCC was able to purchase its current facility in 2010. It has a residential house and a 7500 sq. ft. warehouse along with adequate parking for about 25 vehicles. At first, ISCC offered regular Jummah, Taraweeh, and Eid prayers as well as Islamic education classes for children in the residential house. As the congregation grew, all activities were moved to the larger warehouse. ISCC applied for a permit for change of use from a Warehouse to a House of Worship. The organization received the approval in 2019 after incurring significant remodeling of the the facility which was supported by a special fundraising in 2018 and 2019 years.
