Supporting faith, learning, and community harmony in Carroll County
Prayer Services
Regular Friday congregational prayers (Jumu’ah) serve as a cornerstone of community life, fostering a deep sense of spiritual connection, reflection, and inner peace among congregants. Gathering each week for prayer and remembrance creates an environment where individuals can pause from the demands of daily life, reconnect with their faith, and renew their sense of purpose and mindfulness. Beyond personal spirituality, these congregational prayers strengthen bonds within the community by bringing people together in unity, mutual respect, and shared values. The weekly sermon offers guidance on ethical living, compassion, and social responsibility, helping inspire positive action both individually and collectively. Through the consistency and serenity of Friday prayers, congregants experience a renewed sense of balance, belonging, and tranquility that extends beyond the prayer space into their everyday lives..

IQRA Academy offers students a comprehensive Islamic education grounded in the Weekend Learning Publishers Islamic Studies curriculum, providing a structured and age-appropriate learning experience that nurtures both knowledge and character. The program serves students from 1st grade through 12th grade, ensuring continuity in learning as students grow academically and spiritually. Classes are held every Sunday, allowing students to balance their regular school commitments with consistent Islamic learning in a supportive environment. IQRA Academy follows the Carroll County Public Schools calendar for holidays, making it convenient for families and aligned with the local academic schedule. In addition to Islamic studies, students actively participate in community-focused activities, fostering empathy, leadership, and a sense of social responsibility by contributing to both the Muslim community and the broader society. Community Training
The Islamic Society of Carroll County (ISCC) hosted a Non-Violence Training in collaboration with the Carroll County Interfaith Alliance for Racial Justice, reflecting a shared commitment to peace, justice, and community solidarity. This thoughtfully organized training brought together community members, faith leaders, and advocates from diverse backgrounds to explore the principles of non-violent action, ethical leadership, and constructive responses to injustice. Through facilitated discussions, practical exercises, and reflective dialogue, participants gained tools to address racial inequities, de-escalate conflict, and promote understanding rooted in compassion and respect. By hosting this important initiative, ISCC reinforced its role as a community partner dedicated to fostering racial justice, interfaith cooperation, and a more inclusive and harmonious society for all.

The Islamic Society of Carroll County (ISCC) actively participates in and hosts interfaith community dinners as a meaningful way to foster collaboration, inclusion, and unity among diverse faiths and cultures. These gatherings provide a welcoming space where community members, faith leaders, and neighbors come together to share a meal, engage in open dialogue, and build mutual understanding based on respect and common values. Through thoughtful conversations and shared experiences, ISCC’s interfaith dinners help break down barriers, strengthen relationships, and promote peaceful coexistence, reinforcing the belief that strong communities are built through connection, compassion, and cooperation across faith traditions.

ISCC Youth organized a clothes drive in partnership with Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) as a compassionate initiative to support communities in need and respond to the challenges faced by vulnerable families. Driven by a spirit of service and social responsibility, the youth volunteers worked collectively to plan, promote, and carry out the drive, encouraging community members to donate gently used and new clothing for individuals of all ages. This collaboration not only provided essential items to those experiencing hardship but also empowered young volunteers to take an active role in humanitarian service, leadership, and community engagement. Through this meaningful partnership, ISCC Youth demonstrated the values of empathy, generosity, and unity, reinforcing the importance of standing together to uplift and care for those most in need.
